Notre lampe est un modèle particulièrement rare connu jusqu’alors qu’en documentation qui fut exposée au Salon d’Automne de Paris en 1913.
Non seulement Maurice Dufrene apporte un soin tout particulier à la sculpture des chrysanthèmes, mais il la coiffe d’un abat-jour spectaculaire à la manière d’un vitrail coloré de bleu, de jaune ou encore d’orange, comme le faisait alors l’américain Louis Comfort Tiffany.
Our lamp is a particularly rare model, previously known only from documentation, which was exhibited in the Paris “Salon d’Automne” in 1913.
Not only did Maurice Dufrene take particular care in sculpting the chrysanthemums, but he also topped it with a spectacular lampshade in the style of a stained glass window in blue, yellow, and orange, as was done at the time by the American Louis Comfort Tiffany.
