On retrouve dans cette création, les caractéristiques chères à Ruhlmann à travers les pièces qu’il expose au salon d’automne de 1913. Par l’utilisation de l’acajou et d’un médaillon en ébène, d’une certaine rigueur, presque viennoise, et par le contraste bois clair/bois foncé, Ruhlmann pose déjà les bases de l’Art Déco.

Our gueridon is a model that was previously unknown.
This creation features the characteristics dear to Ruhlmann, as seen in the pieces he exhibited at the 1913 Autumn Salon. Through his use of mahogany and an ebony medallion, a certain rigor, almost Viennese in style, and the contrast between light and dark wood, Ruhlmann laid the foundations for Art Deco.
